This incident has MBBS graduates being named as suspects. Earlier MBBS graduates were arrested in similar circumstances (holding ammunition/IED material) in Kashmir. Prior to that, a few months back, the news of (a non-Muslim) MBBS graduate joining the armed resistance in Chhattisgarh.
Anyone with an MBBS degree can not only dream of but also realize the best life possible wherever they are. Even if they are posted to the remotest village, they will have access to the best that the village has to offer. Such is the status of doctors.
Despite this, if MBBS graduates are choosing retaliatory violence, it only means that the nation has officially moved into a 'Face the Consequences' phase. This, however, is just the beginning.
When someone is targeted for just being themselves and nobody stands up for them, they put their head down and accept that as their fate. However, even that is a temporary state of mind which comes to an end when their patience reaches its tipping point.
When Muslims were beaten to death for transporting cattle, nobody did anything.
When Muslims were beaten to death for refusing to say jaisriram, nobody did anything.
When Muslims were subject to nationality/citizenship checks, nobody did anything.
When the Muslims made an effort to protest democratically, they were subject to riots and as usual, nobody did anything.
When Muslims were threatened not to vote on election days, nobody did anything.
The same holds good for what the Dalits (especially the Adivasis) living in non-urban areas. (the reason why the non-Muslim MBBS graduate took up arms)
Now that they have realized that nobody will standup for them, they've decided to standup for themselves.
The mainstream media is now publishing stories linking the suspects to terror groups. No media has shared any evidence other than the claim of 'official reports'.
Any armed revolutionary group will proudly take responsibility for their successful attempts and also declare why they conducted that operation.
Which organization has officially released a statement taking responsibility for the Delhi Blast?
None.
Why?
This is the beginning of the uprising of disgruntled citizens who have chosen to standup for their rights.
They cannot gain the rights they've lost without avenging the death of the innocents.
Why would anyone take the assurance for their safety in the future without a compensation for the lives they've lost in the past?
Shouldn't the minorities have any sense of self-respect?
After all, those who died at the hands of hindutva terrorists are also innocent citizens who got their fundamental rights violated in the most extreme manner.
What could be the possible compensation they can ask for?
Fair legal proceedings against the hindutva terrorists and monetary compensation along with employment opportunities for at least one immediate family member should be the ideal minimum justice (besides the other relief measures as guaranteed by the law) to those who lost their loved ones to hindutva terrorism.
However, the legal proceedings did not do justice even in one such instance and the families were left to fend for themselves.
Over the past decade since 2014, many young kids and young adults have been growing up watching these incidents and the associated injustice. One must not forget that they are also growing up with the memory of the 'Deafening Silence' demonstrated by this society especially the non-minority segments and those (including the minorities) based in urban areas.
Voting for congress or the adamant focus on non-violent resolutions while not facing hindutva terrorism did not make the cut. Not once did it deliver any value to the victims of hindutva terrorism. Nor will it ever do so.
The police could've done their job. The courts could've taken things up Suo motu. People could've protested or at least raised their voice against hindutva terrorism.
However:
The police departments (across many states) demonstrated partiality. In many instances, refused to file an FIR and/or ignored arresting the hindutva terrorists.
The courts did nothing Suo motu. In some cases the courts acquitted the suspects.
The suspects who got acquitted were even garlanded and welcomed for their act of violence against innocent Muslims.
Nobody asked the families of the victims what they need and what they faced.
Clearly the minorities have to take up their cause in their own hands and ensure they don't hear anyone else's view.
Disregard of 'Natural Justice' is the eventual consequence. When the causation remains untouched, the consequences will fly in many directions and colors.
The case of MBBS graduates picking up retaliatory violence is just one of those consequences. They cannot hear anyone else's view as they weren't asked what they needed when they lost their loved ones. They have to be the judge of their own cause as nobody has taken that responsibility.
If you are one of those sitting in the sidelines, claiming that voting for congress and non-violence is how one should respond, then you have no right to question the decisions of the MBBS graduates.
The society is finally seeing some doctors who are taking their Hippocratic Oath seriously and applying it in the societal context with the focus on the greater good.
They are dedicated to the humanity that the victims of hindutva terrorism did not get. They are prioritizing the victims' right to live. They are maintaining the respect for the lives of the victims of hindutva terrorism. They are sharing their knowledge amongst their willfully volunteering peers. They are upholding their humanitarian standards and the needs of the victims of hindutva terrorism.
These doctors did not poison their patients. These doctors did not refuse treatment to any patient citing their religion or caste.
All these doctors did was to respond to their own sense of humanity and self-respect in their own way.
If the highly educated in a nation are taking up violence, it only means that the nation is is going through a social collapse.
These MBBS graduates will remain as the examples for many young minority kids who are growing up watching the acts of hindutva terrorism since 2014. They have been observing hindutva terrorism and the persisting silence of the non-minorities and those (including minorities) in the urban areas.
These kids know that even if they or their loved ones get beaten to death by hindutva terrorists any time in the future, the non-minorities and the those from urban areas will continue with one of these (or the combination of):
1. Continue to support hindutva support by thinking/speaking/acting/voting in favor of RSS/BJP.
2. Continue to support/vote the Congress party hoping Rahul Gandhi will pick up a Dragon-Slayer or Zantetsuken to fight against hindutva once he becomes the Prime Minister (subject to the congress party not plotting for his assassination).
3. Continue to advocate non-violent means sitting in safety, knowing they will never face hindutva terrorism like the minorities do (since 2014).
4. Live their lives with the 'No politics, no comments, no tension' philosophy.
The natural consequence will be the growing sense of resentment against the democracy that has failed them which will drive their thoughts, words and deeds towards the sustainable solution to the problem of hindutva terrorism. Any effort they make thereafter will begin with violence.
If you refuse to acknowledge the problem of hindutva terrorism just because of the thread you wear (shoulder, wrist or upper arm) or the color on your forehead, you lose the right to raise any question when your loved one fails to return home as a single entity.
Mainstream media will thrown names of terror modules at you and if you fall for the media tricks, then you are responsible for your own safety.
If there is a terror module, they will claim responsibility for any operation they conduct.
If nobody is claiming responsibility but the media keeps pushing names calling them as terror modules, then it only means one of the following:
1. The national security instruments have not yet neutralized those terror modules despite their existence over the decades.
2. The terror modules are just fictitious organizations created for media propaganda to sell the story of religious fundamentalism calling everything other than hindutva.
While you ponder over the appropriate branding or organization name based on what your favorite mainstream media outlet is releasing, take time to remember that the consequences have begun and this will have collateral damage over the long term.
The nation is finally seeing hints of evidence that the minorities have a sense of self-respect and determination to standup for their life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
MBBS graduates who have the option of best lifestyles possible are setting the much needed examples for the real growth of the nation.
This nation needs an Anti-hindutva Campaign and many more educated citizens will come forward taking up their respective responsibilities.
To the congress supporters and fans of non-violence: Lead the violent retaliation or follow the violent retaliation or get out of the way.
If you choose to get out of the way, do not assume you and your loved ones will never be vulnerable to collateral damage. You chose to remain silent when the minorities died. Silence is the only option you will have when you face the consequences.
This nation needs an Anti-hindutva Campaign and this nation needs to pay for tolerating the death of innocent minorities at the hands of hindutva terrorists.
